About Us

We exist to empower you
to live in God’s freedom.

At Freedom City, we hope to see you dive into what it means to follow Jesus, get connected to others, discover your purpose and make a difference with your life. We believe that church should be a place where everyone is able to connect with God on a personal and intimate level.

We exist for one thing: to empower people to live in God’s Freedom. At Freedom City Church, we believe that real freedom can be experienced on earth when people live intentional and purposeful lives, submitted to God’s word.

Know God

Freedom is found in God.
In order to live in freedom we must know God for ourselves. Whether you’re new to the faith, have questions, or have been a Christ follower for a long time, our services will be a safe place to learn more about what it means to know God and grow closer to Him.

Find Freedom

Freedom is found in community.
At Freedom City you will not do life alone, you will be encouraged to partake in a community that will quickly become family.

Discover Purpose

Freedom is found in purpose.
Our lives will never make sense until we discover our God given purpose. When you discover your true gifts you can use them to serve others, and that is life changing.

Make a Difference

Freedom is found in the changes we make.
This is God’s ultimate plan for our life–to make a difference in the lives of others. When we do, the Bible tells us we will experience joy.

Our Story

Freedom City Church was born out of a passion to see people experience the transforming power of Jesus and live in true freedom. Founded by Robe and Meima Pierre—high school sweethearts turned ministry leaders—Freedom City launched in Hartford, Connecticut with a vision to reach the lost, heal the broken, and raise up a generation that walks boldly in their God-given purpose. After years of serving in various pastoral roles and equipping leaders across New England, the Pierres felt the undeniable call to plant a church that would reflect heaven on earth: multicultural, multigenerational, Spirit-led, and radically committed to loving people.

At Freedom City, we believe church should feel like family. Our culture is built on joy, prayer, worship, and the relentless belief that Jesus changes everything. Whether you’re walking through our doors for the first time or returning to faith after a long journey, you belong here. We don’t just attend church—we are the church, moving in excellence, serving with heart, and lifting up the name of Jesus in every corner of Hartford.

This is Freedom City—and you’re invited to be part of the story.

Our Pastors

Robe and Meima Pierre are high school sweethearts from Boston, Massachusetts, who have been in love and serving in ministry since their teenage years. Now married for 10 years, they are the proud parents of three children: Robyn (8), Jamie (6), and RJ (4). Together, they hold multiple degrees, including master’s degrees from Boston College in Mental Health Counseling (Robe) and Education (Meima).

For five years, they led Operation Make A Difference Inc., a parachurch nonprofit serving youth and young adult ministries across New England. In 2017, they stepped into full-time ministry at Jubilee Christian Church, where they served in several pastoral roles including Youth and Young Adult Pastors, Creative and Executive Pastor (Robe), and Operations Pastor (Meima), concluding their time as Campus Pastors in 2024.

On April 6, 2025, after much prayer and discernment, the Pierres launched Freedom City Church in Hartford, Connecticut. Fueled by a passion to see lives transformed, they are committed to empowering the people of Greater Hartford to live in God’s FREEDOM.
